OXFORD — Emma Belle (Bowman) Dickson, 90, 209 E. Smith St., Oxford, died at 4:10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2002 in St. Clare Healthcare Center, Otterbein. She was born April 14, 1912 in Warren County, the daughter of Fred A. and Susie L. Sipes Bowman. She married Charles R. Dickson March 6, 1934 in Oxford. He preceded in death Jan. 29, 2002. She was raised in Warren County, living in the Williamsport and Pine Village areas. She graduated from Pine Village High School. She had lived in Oxford for the past 20 years and the nursing home for the past year She enjoyed gardening, working on jigsaw puzzles and square dancing. She also enjoyed following her grandchildren's sporting events. Survivors include: two daughters, Emma Marie (Robert) Larson, Attica and Elizabeth (Mike) Stacy, Oxford; a nephew, Harry E. “Gene" Bowman, Carmel; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sheldon Bowman; a sister, Ruth Hamm; an infant sister, Madeline Bowman, and a granddaughter, Anna Sturgeon Marrs. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. G. Scott Pattison officiating. Burial was in West Point Cemetery. – jlr
